INDEPENDENT FILM MAKER NEWS LONG ISLAND NEW YORK

 

I am currently shooting independent films in my local community. Networking with upcoming actors, providing experience and opportunities for those who are looking to learn the craft. I spent long painful hours working on this movie. I’m the writer, director, cinematographer, and acting couch. I’m spreading myself too thin.

I need a budget with experience people to work with. This is the hardest task I ever had to accomplish, mainly because I don’t want it to look like an amateur film. My back hurts just thinking about the time I put in editing. 
No one is more passionate about making it in the business than me.

In addition I would say that I have a very strong and positive work ethic. I am always looking into ways to improve my films, and please my audience. I ask people to tell me the truth about my production. If it’s terrible I want to be told the truth. That’s the only way to step up my game and do it better next time. My parents always worked very hard to achieve their goals. They taught me to be humble, to work hard, and to give my all in everything I do, and most importantly never give up on my dream. In every film I have written and directed I have created something out of nothing. It is not easy making a film with a small budget, especially when working with actors that are willing to give it their all and then receiving no compensation in return.

Above all, I believe in treating people with decency and respect and that is why I am able to achieve these things with the support of my community. I am committed to excellence when it comes to my films. 

In fact “The Color Purple” affected me drastically and really made me want to change my future goals for the rest of my life. That movie made me cry like a child. Steven Spellburge makes unforgettable films and I hope to make inspiring films like his. My goal is to direct and produce breath taking films that will make the world stand up and recognize the essence of human existence through my vision.

Therefore, the one thing I lack is the funds to accomplish my full potential on film. With the funding, I am certain I can make memorable films that will pave the way to my future as a film maker. This will be life changing for me and my family. Being able to direct a movie that has a budget is a personal goal. With your help I can achieve greatness, and hopefully change the world of film making.
